The Layers of Building Affordable Housing
For the 2023 Compassion Campaign, we wanted to give our guests a deeper understanding of what it really takes to build affordable housing—beyond the headlines and numbers.
To bring this complex process to life, CoverlyPro wrote and produced an engaging explainer video that walks viewers through the many steps involved in creating community housing: from planning and permitting, to financing, construction, and ultimately, occupancy. The video uses clear visuals and storytelling to make a multi-stage, multi-stakeholder process feel accessible and meaningful to a general audience.
We premiered the video at the event as part of the program to educate and inspire attendees—giving context to the work being celebrated, the partners involved, and the very real community impact of affordable housing development.
The result was a tool that not only informed guests during the event but has continued to serve as an evergreen educational asset for partners, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
